DRAFT ALTERNATIVES 2020

UDOT released the Draft Alternatives Screening Report on June 8, 2020. The release of the screening report was followed by a 30-day public comment period that ended on July 10, 2021. In the screening report, UDOT identified three alternatives for more in-depth study to improve transportation in Little Cottonwood Canyon and included enhanced bus service, enhanced bus service in a dedicated shoulder lane, and a gondola. The Draft Alternatives public comments can be viewed in the Documents section.

UDOT released an addendum to the June 8, 2020 Draft Alternatives Development and Screening Report on November 20, 2020 and identified two new alternatives, a gondola from La Caille and a cog rail from La Caille. The public comment period held from June 8 to July 10, 2020 provided the project team input on the draft alternatives presented in the addendum report.
